The Scottish Association was formed in 1979 by John Lambert(chief instructor and Preident SGKA) and James Flannigan, at the same time as the INTERNATIONAL OKINAWAN GOJU-RYU KARATE-DO (IOGKF) and is a founder member country.

The IOGKF was envisioned long ago by Goju-Ryu founder Chojun Miyagi Sensei. It is a group dedicated to the furtherance and continuation of traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do.

Sensei MORIO HIGAONNA 10TH DAN is the world chief instructor.

Goju Ryu Karate will suit you whether you're into competition fighting, the spiritual aspect or self defence.
